The best candidates for Kybella have very small, superficial pockets of fat beneath their chin; deeper or larger amounts of fat are better addressed with surgical interventions.
The number of treatments largely depends on the amount of fat present and the number of vials used during each treatment. Most people need 2-4 treatments for optimal results.
Full results from Kybella will be visible 3-6 months after the final treatment, as the body gradually eliminates the destroyed fat cells.
Once Kybella destroys fat cells in the treated area, they do not return. However, maintaining a stable weight is crucial to preserve results. Significant weight gain can cause remaining fat cells in surrounding areas to enlarge, making the treated area look fuller.
